National CASA/GAL celebrates Black leaders in child welfare

As we rounded out Black History Month, we honored Black leaders in child welfare and former Chairs of the National CASA/GAL Board of Trustees:

Judge Ernestine S. Gray (Retired) is a longtime advocate for children and families and the first Black Board Chair of National CASA/GAL. Throughout her work, she has focused on keeping children and families together, and she has been an advocate for the development of life skills to deter youth from crime. Her impact has been felt in the child welfare and juvenile justice systems nationally, and certainly by the children and families in her courtroom.
