We were proud to be a part of the 2022 Northern Nevada Pride Festival at Wingfield Park on Saturday July 23rd. We met so many wonderful people who allowed us to spread the word about the good work the Washoe CASA Foundation does advocating for children in foster care. Thanks to everyone who came by our booth, got informed about our mission and shared a smile with us. Thanks to Jo Anne Gonzalez for getting and keeping us organized. Thanks to Susan Nissenbaum and Ed Gurowitz for manning the booth. We handed out 200 sunscreen lip balms on a hot summer day when they were really needed. See you next year for a day of Reno Pride!
Starting earlier this year, CASA of Somerset, Hunterdon and Warren Counties (NJ) has been highlighting various issues within the world of foster care through its podcast, CASA Connection. Join the program’s staff, volunteers and former foster youth every two weeks through Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, Podbean or iHeart for topical discussions about issues that directly impact the child welfare system and best-interest advocacy.
