What is CASA?

Court Appointed Special Advocates® (CASAs) are community volunteers, just like you, who speak up for abused and/or neglected children.

Our CASA program belongs to a network of nearly 950 community-based programs that recruit, train and support citizen-volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and/or neglected children in courtrooms and communities.

Note-Able Music Therapy Services Open House

Diane Nicolet and Susan Nissembaum share CASA with visitors.

The Washoe CASA Foundation was so grateful to have been invited to participate in the Note-Able Music Therapy Services Open House on Thursday September 22, 2022 from 3-7pm. (https://www.nmtsreno.org/). Board Members, Susan Nissenbaum, Diane Nicolet and Jodie Black shared the CASA message with the crowd and helped visitors make maracas! The Note-Ables band played, there was a sing-a-long and a drum circle. Thank you to Note-Able for including us, along with about 20 other agencies from our community. If you missed this...make note to attend next year!
