What is CASA?

Court Appointed Special Advocates® (CASAs) are community volunteers, just like you, who speak up for abused and/or neglected children.

Our CASA program belongs to a network of nearly 950 community-based programs that recruit, train and support citizen-volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and/or neglected children in courtrooms and communities.

On Thursday May 20th, the National Automobile Museum in Reno was the site of a joyous and lively event hosted by GratisGives.  Washoe CASA Foundation Board Members, Jo Anne Gonzalez and Jodie Black attended the GratisGives Celebration and Check Presentation. We were entertained with music, singing, dancing and a heartfelt presentation of gratitude by GratisGives president Kirk Allair. GratisGives is a payment processing company making it easier for local businesses to give to local charities.  GratisGives facilitiates "Local giving that’s easier, automatic, and sustainable."
