Thirty volunteers, some of them newly sworn-in, joined the Washoe CASA Foundation Board and Program for a summer picnic at Bartley Ranch in Reno. Susan Nissenbaum and Colton Loretz planned and presented a picnic dinner, catered by Yosh's Unique Deli. Our volunteers played "get to know you Bingo" while taking cover in the shade on the hot July evening. Three lucky winners took home gift cards! Alex Unruh provided two CASA Comfort Cases. Those were given to Tina Estay and Launie Gardner and will be put to good use for their CASA kiddos. A SoundBox and handmade quilt were given to fortunate raffle prize winners. Robin Ruybalid and Erica Brown were on hand to provide "back-to-school" gift cards to Volunteers who will be assisting children at the start of the new school year. Jo Anne Gonzalez (Board Chair) and Kendra Materasso (Program Director) thanked our valuable volunteers for their service and dedication. We ended our evening with lots of "Buntini's" from Nothing Bundt Cake. I won't mention the names of Board Members who fought over the Key Lime variety. Thanks to our Board, Program, Volunteers and especially Susan and Colton for a great summer evening at the park!
